Hanover police officers are looking for a suspect after spotting a stolen vehicle in town.
On Monday at around 4:40 a.m., an officer observed a stolen black, Dodge Ram “dually” pickup truck travelling at a high rate of speed on 10th Avenue at 2nd Street.
The officer lost sight of the stolen vehicle but continued to patrol the area and found it parked unoccupied in the area of 9th Avenue and 14th Street.
An investigation determined that a suspect was observed running from the stolen vehicle just prior to police arrival.
The Hanover Police Service established containment with the assistance of the West Grey Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team and their K9 Unit, however, they were unable to locate the suspect.
