Male charged with impaired driving after crashing into home

A 24-year-old male from Mitchell is facing an Impaired Driving charge stemming from a collision last week.

On March 22nd at 11:17 pm, Huron County OPP responded to a call to a residence located on North Line south of Walton after the homeowner reported a vehicle had just crashed into his home. Officers arrived to find a heavily damaged SUV and a lone occupant inside.

Officers arrested the man as he showed signs of impairment. He provided two breath samples that both registered over the legal limit. The man is scheduled for a court appearance in Goderich on April 29th.
