The Mayor of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh believes they may be closer to solving the water quality problems in Dungannon wells.
Naturally-occurring arsenic levels have historically been just above the province's acceptable level.
Glen McNeil says staff at the Walkerton Clean Water Centre have agreed to test some cutting-edge technology and will hopefully lower the arsenic level in the water.
McNeil points out their goal is to provide the most efficient and cost-effective way of dealing with the problem.
