OHL: Attack lose despite two from Sushko

Flint 6 Owen Sound 4

Maksim Sushko struck twice but it wasn't enough as the Owen Sound Attack lost 6-4 to Flint.

The Attack went goal-for-goal with the Firebirds for the first half of the game but Flint pulled away in the latter half of the second when Ty Dellandrea gave the Firebirds a 3-2 lead heading into the third.

Hunter Holmes scored to make it 4-2 Flint early in the final frame. Sushko's second of the game put the Attack to within a point. Flint's Emmet Pierce scored what would stand as the game winner at 8:07.

Brady Lyle also scored for Owen Sound. Ethan Keppen's empty netter with less than a minute left gave the Firebirds some insurance.

Dellandrea led the Firebirds with a goal and two assists.

Hamilton 5 Kitchener 3

Zachary Roy made 34 saves in the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-3 win over Kitchener.

The Rangers were led by Riley Damiani with a pair of goals. Greg Meireles and Jonathan Yantsis each had a pair of assists for Kitchener.

Matthew Strome and Logan Morrison led the Bulldogs with a goal and an assist each.
