Home prices in Grey Bruce Owen Sound have increased by 10 per cent compared to February 2018 to about $364,000.
The more comprehensive year-to-date average price was $354,738, which is up a similar 9.6 per cent from the first two months of 2018.
The overall supply of homes for sale remains near record lows at just 605 units, with the average long term average for the month sitting around 1500 listings.
The dollar value of all home sales in February 2019 was $49.9 million, rising 11.6 per cent from the same month in 2018.
Months of inventory numbered 4.4 at the end of February 2019, up a bit from the 4.1 months recorded at the end of February 2018 but still way below the long-run average of 12.9 months for this time of year. The number of months of inventory is the number of months it would take to sell current inventories at the current rate of sales activity.
Sales of all property types numbered 175 units in February 2019, up 6.7 per cent (11 sales) from February 2018. The total value of all properties sold was $63.4 million, rising 19 per cent from February 2018.
