Warriors lose to 99ers in Game 3 of Midwest quarterfinal

Reuben Young scored the game winner with less than two minutes to go in regulation and the Brantford 99ers topped the Stratford Warriors 6-5.

The Warriors still lead their Midwestern Conference Quarterfinal 2-1.

The 99ers capitalized on their four power play opportunities, scoring three times with man advantage.

Evan Ilkos led Brantford with a pair of goals and an assist. Ryan Mulholland and Shaun General each scored and had two assists in the win.

The Warriors were led by Nathan Smilsky with a goal and an assist.

Kevin Donaghey earned the victory with 20 saves for Brantford. Zack Weir stopped 28 shots in defeat.
