The West Grey Police Polar Plunge raised $10,000 for Special Olympics Ontario.
Police hosted the 3rd Annual Plunge at St Peters St Pauls School in Durham Friday.
38 brave participants jumped into a freezing cold plunge tank provided by the West Grey Fire Department. Plungers jumped into the ice-cold water one after another wearing funny costumes.
Proceeds of the event make Special Olympics games possible providing funding for athletes to compete in their sport.
In the spirit of the games, students and staff of St Peters St Pauls School along with local police officers played hockey and basketball games as the stands cheered for the players.
