Half-load restrictions for commercial vehicles are in effect in many areas to protect roads through the next two months as things begin to thaw.
A news release from Perth County OPP stated that commercial vehicle enforcement officers will be monitoring commercial traffic over the next couple months.
Commercial vehicles are restricted to 5 tonnes per axle during the half load season. Drivers are asked to plan ahead with confirming travel routes and to obey all road restriction signs.
Passenger vehicles are exempt.
The half load restrictions will end on April 30th within Perth County.
