Central Huron's second annual Wine and Cheese Tasting night was a huge success this past week.
The event was held Thursday night in the Upper Town Hall and Community Improvement Coordinator, Angela Smith, says council had asked her to try and promote the upper hall and she points out its a beautiful historic part of Clinton that a lot of people have forgotten about and a lot of young people didn't even now existed.
Smith says it's perfect place for events like the Wine and Cheese Tasting events and one person asked her about having a wedding in the upper hall.
Once again the music for the event was provided by the two Clinton high schools. The Central Huron Secondary School Jazz Band was there and St. Annes provided some individual musicians who performed some of their own material.
Smith says proceeds from this year's event will go to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation.
“Council had asked me to promote the use of our Upper Town Hall. The Auditorium is a beautiful historic part of Clinton that people have forgotten about, many in the younger generation have never seen before and they're excited to be here. It's stunning and it's perfect for this type of event.”
“Central Huron Secondary School Jazz Band was here, so that was the one band that was here, but then St. Annes brought several individual musicians, who all did their own thing and a lot of their pieces were personally written.”
