Wind storm and snow squalls could cause major issues

Driving conditions could get pretty dicey over the next 24 hours.

High winds and developing snow squalls could make the roads extremely slippery, especially after a night of rain. The wind gusts in Midwestern Ontario could range from 90 to 110 km/h throughout the day, and the snow squalls could dump a significant amount of snow in heavier squall areas. There is a Wind Warning and Snow Squall Watch for all of our region.

The wind could also potentially cause some hydro issues if wayward tree branches are knocked into power lines, which could make it a tough next day or so for hydro crews. We may see some school and road closures tomorrow as a result of the storm.
