Weekend weather advisories

Environment Canada isn't wasting any time in getting some weather alerts out for the region for the weekend.

There are special weather statements for the entire area talking about high winds and freezing rain.

Huron, Perth and Bruce County is under an advisory for high winds on Sunday with gusts between 90 to 110 km/h through the afternoon.

That's because a sharp cold front will move through the area earlier in the day and the winds will follow.

Flurries and blowing snow could arrive with that cold front as an early high temperature above zero will disappear.

And for areas in Grey and Wellington, high winds are expected as well with the chance of freezing rain Saturday night ahead of the cold front Sunday.
