Mitch Twolan to serve another term as Chair of WOWC

Bruce County Warden Mitch Twolan has been acclaimed as Chair of the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus for another one year term.

As the caucus chair, Twolan also sits on the AMO Board, County Caucus, and has been serving as Mayor of Huron-Kinloss since 2004. He has represented Bruce County on the Caucus in four previous terms dating back to 2007.

"One of our main goals for WOWC over the next year will be to continue to work to strengthen the economy of our region," said Twolan.  "As a coordinated group, we are well positioned to advance a number of key initiatives. Cooperation among all levels of government in the form of funding and partnership opportunities will continue to foster the future success of Southwestern Ontario."

Also appointed as WOWC officers were Jim Ginn, warden of Huron County, to the office of Vice Chair; Sonya Pritchard, CAO of Dufferin County, as Treasurer; and Mark Aitken, CAO of Simcoe County, as Secretary.

Minto Township Mayor George Bridge was appointed as chair of the WOWC Economic Development Sub-Committee with committee members to include the following county wardens: Mitch Twolan for Bruce, Selwyn Hicks for Grey, Darrin White for Dufferin, Walter McKenzie for Perth, and Jim Ginn for Huron.
