The Owen Sound Attack axed head coach Todd Gill.
In a release this morning, the club announced "Gill has been relieved of his duties."
Assistant coaches Alan Letang and Jordan Hill will be taking over behind the bench for the rest of the season while the club searches for Gill's replacement.
Letang will be the interim head coach and Hill will take over assistant coaching duties.
General manager Dale DeGray is quoted in the release as saying " Todd has been an important part of our staff and I want to thank him for all of the time and hard work he has put into this club."
DeGray says it was a "hard decision to make but the team is heading in a new direction and with that comes changes to our leadership."
Gill joined the team July, 2017. The former NHL player spent a few seasons as assistant coach of the AHL's Stockton Heat following a three year stint as head coach of the OHL's Kingston Frontenacs.
The Attack's next game is Wednesday at home against Kitchener.
