The president of Glavin Coating and Refinishing says they're currently looking for a temporary facility following the fire that destroyed their main building on the corner of the Parr Line and the Zurich-Hensall Road last week.
Matt Glavin said they had 11 employees at the time of the fire so they are looking for a temporary location so they can continue working.
"The building is a loss. We had an adjacent trailer that myself and the secretary worked out of. It's fine, there's a bit of fire damage to the exterior but the interior was fine, but the actual building itself, roughly 20-thousand square feet, is completely gone," he said.
Glavin said they have a couple of key customers that they should be able to serve in a week or two, but for general customers, it will be much longer.
"We've been really busy, we've got customers to keep satisfied, so hopefully we find something temporary and then, we rebuild," he said.
Damage to the business has been estimated at $2 million and Glavin said the insurance company has been very helpful.
