A member of the Wingham Air Cadets has won a provincial honour.
Flight Sergeant Jacob Trenter won the Effective Speaking Competition for Ontario.
The competition consisted of a prepared speech chosen by the cadet. Trenter's speech was on Remembrance.
There was also an impromptu speech where the individual is given the topic three minutes prior to delivering the speech.
Trenter will represent Ontario in the national competition June 14 in Laval, Quebec.
He will be giving his speech as part of 543 Wingham Valiants Squadron Annual Review on June 3 at F.E. Madill in Wingham. It's open to the public and starts at 1:45p, that afternoon.
