Owl prowl near Exeter

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority is hosting its popular Owl Prowl tomorrow night at the Morrison Dam in Exeter.

Conservation Educator Denise Iszczuk says over 200 people attended last year's event.

Conservation Halton has provided some live owls for an indoor session where people can ask questions.

“Once again this year we do have sponsorship from our Conservation Foundation for live owls from Conservation Halton so we will be able to see them inside in a safe environment and be able to look at them and ask questions from the handlers,” said Iszczuk.

Then the outdoor session will include owl calling.

“Screech Owls seem to be one of those friendly, curious owls and they're a little bit smaller than the Great Horned Owl, so they're cute and common along our trails, so we're definitely going to call in Screech Owls," added Iszczuk.

The first hike is at 6 p.m. and the second follows at 7:30 p.m.
