UPDATE: Municipal election result delays

Updated at 9:30 p.m.

Internet and phone voting systems in many Bruce and Grey municipalities are now up and running again but voting has been extended until 8 p.m. tomorrow, October 23rd.

Many municipalities were tweeting about the challenges earlier tonight.

Owen Sound and Brockton have tweeted about the issues.

Brockton has also tweeted about issues and other municipalities could be affected.

For the past two weeks, residents have been casting their votes by phone or internet in most municipalities.

There are 34 municipalities within our coverage area and a full list of those municipalities, along with the candidates, can be found by clicking here.

Some areas will not be affected including Aaran-Elderslie and Chatsworth as well South Bruce Peninsula because they used mail in ballots.

Minto is still accepting voters at their town office.

The results of the elections will be updated as soon as possible.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
