Huron County Museum welcomes indoor walkers

The Huron County Museum in Goderich is tapping into a new group of people to increase traffic.

Business Development Manager Erin Samuell said they've started a winter walking program that invites walkers to the Museum Monday through Friday, between 10 a.m. and noon. Anyone with a Huron County Library card gets in free.

Samuell said they have calculated some distances.

"We do have a route that we can recommend to you, but of course, if you come to the museum you can use any route that you prefer to take, but the route that takes you through all of the exhibits spaces, if you do three laps at the museum you actually have walked one kilometre," said Samuell.

The concept is much like mall walking that's popular in many larger centres, but Samuell suggest walking through the museum is more interesting.
