Tim Cumming of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority says the fifteen teams that participated was about the same as it has been for the last twelve years, but the teams were more generous than in past years and the timing was perfect because they're working hard to raise money for the Jones Pedestrian Bridge on the trail.
Cumming says they have raised more than $220,000 in pledges and donations so far, but there's still a long way to go.
The tournament raised over $6,000 this year and following the tournament, one of the volunteers added to the total.
Bob Down made a platinum donation of over $5,000. Cumming says they won't know exactly how much money they'll need until all of the tenders come in but they're hoping to start building before the end of the year.
