The return to school on Tuesday means an increase in pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic including school buses.

OPP officers have investigated over 5,600 collisions this year that involved an inattentive driver. Tragically, 31 people lost their lives in the collisions and over one thousand of the incidents left people with injuries.
Motorists must slow down in school safety zones, and be prepared to stop for buses, crossing guards, crosswalks, and pedestrians.
