OPP Make Arrest After Conducting Drug Trafficking Investigation

Wellington County OPP made a significant arrest in connection to a drug investigation in the county.

On Wednesday, August 29 at 6:30 p.m., as a result of the investigation, Wellington County OPP arrested 42-year-old Arthur native William Hornby on George Street in Arthur.

He was allegedly found to have a quantity of methamphetamine and there was evidence of trafficking. Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at Hornby's apartment in Arthur and further evidence was located and seized.

Hornby is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the controlled drugs and substances act (CDSA). He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 2, 2018.
