Public Input Needed On Library Use In Huron County

The Seaforth Library is holding a series of meetings to see what services the community would like to use from a library.

Heather Lavallee is the branch manager for the Seaforth and Brussels branches and says the meetings are part of a county-wide initiative by the Huron County Library system over the next two years.

"Libraries are trying now to engage the community and really be community-led so that way we're offering services and programs and initiatives that the community wants to see," said Lavalee.  "We have a number of online databases and resources for the community and libraries haven't just been about books, it's about giving people access to information and now with new technologies, we're able to do that in a number of ways."

The first public meeting at the Seaforth Library is during the afternoon of September 28, the second is on the evening of October 11, and the third is the morning of October 20.
