A Perth County man is recovering from a suspected drug overdose after OPP officers administered Naloxone.
Police and Perth County Paramedic Services were dispatched to a residence on Perth Line 4 in the Township of Perth South Sunday evening following a report of an unresponsive male.
The man had no vital signs and CPR was started. He remained unresponsive, at which time an officer administered Naloxone.
Paramedics rushed the man to hospital where he was stabilized and is recuperating.
Naloxone can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose. OPP officers are equipped with a Naloxone kit and are trained to use it in an emergency.
