The municipality of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is switching all of its street lighting to LED.
Reeve Ben Van Diepenbeek says some of the villages in the municipality, like Port Albert, only have five or six lights, but he says Dungannon has about 23.
In total, the municipality has about 90 street lights.
Van Deipenbeek says the LED lights are more expensive but they'll save enough in hydro to have the lights paid for in two to three years.
He says he hopes to have all of the lights switched to LED by the end of this year.
