The first round of the RBC Canadian Open had to be suspended due to inclement weather.
Listowel's Corey Conners was able to finish his round but wasn't happy with his even par 72.
"The wind was kind of swirling around and blowing pretty hard in the middle of the round," he said. "It made things difficult and I was able to really get anything going. I hit some nice shots that I didn't get much out of."
Conners was greeted by cheering fans when he began his round. He says he loves playing in Canada.
"It feels awsome. I have been looking forward to this event for a long time, all year really. It was great to have such a big crowd on the first hole and support throughout all the day was pretty awesome."
Robert Garrigus is in the lead at 9-under. David Hearn is the low Canadian at 4-under and tied for 22nd.
