Elevator At HPHA Hospital Site Soon To Be Closed For Renovations

The elevator at the Clinton hospital will soon be out of commission for roughly a month.

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says the 25-year-old elevator is being upgraded and starting July 20 it will be inaccessible until about August 20.

Most programs that take place on the second floor have either been cancelled or relocated to the basement of the first floor.

Access to the basement of the hospital can be gained by using the admitting entrance located adjacent to the Emergency Department, and a covered wheelchair accessible walkway will be available from the basement level to the first floor.

Funding for the new elevator was provided through the Ontario government’s Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
