Cyclones Ready for First Sutherland Cup Final Appearance

The Listowel Cyclones are in Caledonia tonight for Game 1 of the Sutherland Cup final. It's the first time the franchise has ever made it this far in the GOJHL post season.

Head Coach Jason Brooks says the team has worked hard all year and regardless of the outcome he will be proud of what they accomplished.

"There's that chance when you get to these series against good teams that you may not win. But the fact that we've earned the right to be here and how we've played to get here and what we've come through to get here I can't be more proud of this group."

Brooks says the learned in London in the semifinals they need to "stay true to what we do."

"We need to play our game, execute and give ourselves a chance," he says. "We've done it all season and you know some games you're going to win, some games you're going to lose but stay focused on what you do well. I though our guys did that and we were able to come away with the series win."

The puck drops at 7:30 and you can hear the game live on CKNX.
