National Award For Brussels Event Barn

A unique structure in downtown Brussels has won a national award.

The Four Winds Weddings and Event Barn won the Bricks and Mortar category at the recent Ontario Business Improvement Association conference in Collingwood.

Huron East Economic Development Officer Jan Hawley believes Brussels could become as popular as St. Jacobs because of the Barn.

She points out they already have 60 events planned and booked, including weddings, corporate events, and Christmas parties and they're now getting inquiries right into 2021.

The Brussels Farmers Market will soon open on the lower level, and become a year-round feature.

According to Jan Hawley, "There's going to be a florist that will be opening too, in that same facility. So the barn will have an extension, it's a beautiful brick attachment and Fresh Petals, that's another new business that's opened up as a direct result of that barn."

The official opening of the Four Winds facility won't take place until this summer.
