Mount Forest And Palmerston Hospitals Damaged By Leaks

Patient services at two Wellington County hospitals are currently impacted by flooding. Water leaked in through the roofs during the weekend rain and ice storm.

The Operating Room at the Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest is closed, and all surgeries have been cancelled this week. Foot clinics are also cancelled.

Meanwhile, the Outpatient Lab at the Palmerston & District Hospital is closed until further notice.

All other services at both hospitals are running as usual, including Emergency Room Service.

Stephen Street, the president and CEO of North Wellington Health Care, says Louise Marshall Hospital should be repaired quickly, but the cleanup in Palmerston will take four to six weeks.
