Owen Sound Police Find Drugs And Weapon During Traffic Stop

Owen Sound police say they found cocaine, meth, cash and a knife when they pulled over a vehicle on Hwy. 6 and Hwy. 10 just south of city limits.

At around 1pm on Thursday, police seized cocaine worth an approximate street value of $1,600, methamphetamine worth an approximate street value of $300, marijuana worth an approximate street value of $300 and a roll of cash totalling over $1,200.

A 30-year-old man of no fixed address will appear in court in Owen Sound for a for a bail hearing Friday.

He has been charged with a number of offences: - Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking - Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking - Possession of proceeds of crime - Possession of a prohibited weapon - Unlawful possession of identity documents - Possession of property obtained by crime - Possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order

A 28-year-old woman from Chatsworth has been charged with possession of marijuana.  She's been ordered to appear in court next month.
