A woman from Brampton has been arrested in Owen Sound for allegedly trafficking fentanyl.
Police received information Wednesday afternoon about a suspicious woman in a parked vehicle on Alpha St. in Owen Sound. When police tried to question the women, she drove out of the parking lot in an erratic manner with two children inside the vehicle.
Officers stopped the vehicle a short time later and arrested the driver. An undisclosed amount of powder substance, believed to be fentanyl, was found in the vehicle
A 28-year-old woman from Brampton has been charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and flight from police. She remains in custody pending a bail hearing on Monday.
