SBGHC Hospitals Prepare For 20th Anniversary Events

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre is marking its 20th anniversary in April.

The centre will be holding celebrations to mark the milestone at each of its hospital sites in Kincardine, Walkerton, Chesley and Durham.

President and CEO Paul Rosebush says they have worked together to make amalgamation work.

"Change is never easy, and the process of amalgamation did not come without significant challenges. However, the reality is that we are stronger together. We have accomplished so much for health care in our small, rural communities that would not have been possible otherwise," says Rosebush. "We have a really well functioning medical and health care team, we've got a unified board of directors for all four sites that look at health care from a regional perspective, and we have staff that are able to go between sites, so that helps you get the best use of your health care resources."

The corporation is unveiling a new logo as part of the celebrations, as Rosebush says the 20th anniversary feels like the right time to refresh their look.

"We wanted to come up with something that was modern and that reflected the nature of our four sites that we have for our corporation," says Rosebush. "We very excited about the eye appeal that it has."

The 20th-anniversary celebrations will be held on April 18th in Chesley, April 20 in Durham, April 24 in Kincardine and April 26 in Walkerton.
