North Perth Paddyfest A Big Success

The 41st annual Paddyfest celebration in North Perth was another success.

Hundreds of local residents and visitors took part in a variety of events throughout the 16-day festival, with all the proceeds going back into the community and its many service organizations.

Mayor Julie Behrns says it all culminated in the parade on St. Patrick's Day.

"Great day Saturday for the Paddyfest Parade, great turnout. I know that everyone within the community either helped at or attended the events, and it's all in support of our local community, so it doesn't get much better than that."

The mayor notes that along with current residents, lots of old friends came back to enjoy the celebration as well.

"There were a lot of people that we welcomed back to the area, either from here or friends and family, and that's always great to see, as well," she says."Our community is open to everyone, and Paddyfest is a time to celebrate."
