Kitchener 3 Saginaw 2
Adam Macherin scored and set up another in the Kitchener Rangers 3-2 win over Saginaw.
The Rangers were down 1-0 after the first when Austin McEneny scored unassisted less than six minutes into the second to tie the game. Mascherin put the Rangers ahead just over a minute later.
Joseph Garreffa scored the game winner at 3:32 of the third. Mason Kohn scored for Saginaw on the power play with less than five minutes left in regulation.
Luke Richardson earned the win with 32 saves. Cameron Lamour stopped 22 shots for the Spirit.
Owen Sound 6 Sault Ste. Marie 5 (SO)
Maksim Sushko was the lone scorer of the shoot out as Owen Sound edged Sault Ste. Marie 6-5. Brett McKenzie led the Attack with a pair of goals.
The Attack let a three goal lead slip allowing three goals in a 66 second span in the third. Two of those goals were on the power play.
McKenzie got the scoring started early for Owen Sound, beating the Greyhounds' Matthew Villalta just 3:42 seconds into the game. Aidan Dudas made it 2-0 heading into the second.
McKenzie scored again just 38 seconds into the middle frame to put the Attack up 3-0. Keeghan Howdeshell put the Greyhounds on the board at 2:37 of the second. Jonah Gadjovich restored the Attack's three goal lead at 8:25. Morgan Frost would score for the Soo less than 30 seconds later making it 4-2 heading into the third.
The Attack's Nick Suzuki scored just 53 second into the final frame but then the Soo took over. Conor Timmins scored on the power play six minutes into the third. Rasmus Sandin netted a power play goal of his own just 30 seconds later. Frost scored the equalizer just 36 seconds after that to send the game into overtime.
Olivier Lafeniere earned the win with 28 saves in regulation and overtime and three saves in the shoot out.
