Rangers Win Despite Stellar Performance by Fazio

Rickard Hugg, Adam Liška and Nick McHugh all scored and had an assist in Kitchener's 5-2 win over Sarnia.

The Rangers out shot the Sting 47-29 including 17-5 in the third period. The Sting's Justin Fazio's 41 save performance earned him second star honours in the game despite the loss.

Liška got the scoring started for Kitchener midway through the first. Jordan Kyrou answered for the Sting on the power play to tie the game heading into the second.

Jonathan Ang scored for Sarnia at 4:10 of the second to give the Sting a brief lead. Givani Smith scored the equalizer at 11:29 and Connor Bunnaman's goal with four minutes left in the middle frame would stand as the game winner.

Hugg added insurance for the Rangers at 12:44 of the third. McHugh padded the lead with an empty netter with less than three minutes to go in regulation.
