Siskins Rally to Tie Conference Quarter Final Against Kitchener

The Waterloo Siskins knotted their GOJHL Conference Quarter Final against Kitchener at a game apiece with a 4-2 win last night.

The Dutchmen jumped out to a two goal lead midway through the first thanks to goals from Blair Derynk and Jeff Schrattner. Alex Lycett put the Siskins on the board before the opening period was over.

Winston Cestnick tied the game for Waterloo just 14 seconds into the second and Sam Spaedt scored the go-ahead goal on the power play midway through the period.

Cestnick's second goal of the game late in the third added insurance for the Siskins.

Brett Miller stopped 26 shots for Waterloo. Matthew Chan made 25 saves for the Dutchmen.

Game 3 is Sunday, March 4th at 1:30 p.m. at the Waterloo Rec Complex.
