OHL Wrap: LaFrenière Earns First Career Shut Out

Owen Sound 4 Erie 0

Olivier LaFrenière stopped all 21 shots he faced to earn his first career shut out as Owen Sound blanked Erie 4-0.

Brady Lyle scored what would stand as the game winner on the power play at 7:40 of the second period.

Jonah Gadjovich's unassisted goal at 15:37 of the third added insurance.

The Otters pulled goalie Daniel Murphy with just under two-and-a-half minutes remaining for the extra attacker but that only allowed Ethan Szypula to score on an empty net. Murphy was put back in goal at 18:25 and allowed Mitchell Russell to score unassisted 18 seconds later. In all Murphy made 37 saves.

The Attack are back in action Saturday at 2 p.m. when they host the Guelph Storm.
