OHL Wrap: Attack Couldn't Beat Edmonds

Barrie 4 Owen Sound 0

The Owen Sound Attack couldn't solve Colts rookie netminder Kai Edmonds as they lost 4-0 to Barrie. The 17-year-old earned his first career shut out with 48 saves.

The Attack's Olivier Lafreniere stopped 29 of 32 shots he faced and didn't allow a goal until midway through the third.

Barrie was led by Lucas Chiodo with a pair of goals. Both were set up by Zachary Magwood including an empty netter at 18:16 of the final period.

Other scorers: Jaden Peca and Dmitry Sokolov.

Ottawa 5 Kitchener 2

Givani Smith and Connor Bunnaman scored for the Rangers but it wasn't enough as Kitchener lost 5-2 to Ottawa.

The 67's were led by Kody Clark with a pair of back-to-back goals including the game winner and the insurance goal.

Olivier Tremblay earned the win with 28 saves. Mario Culina stopped 21 of 24 shots. Two of the 67's goals were on an empty Rangers net.

Sault Ste. Marie 6 London 2

Rookie Andrew Perrott scored for London as the Knights lost 6-2 to the Grey Hounds. Nathan Dunkley also scored for the Knights.

Morgan Frost's short handed goal late in the second would stand as the game winner. It was Frost's second goal of the game. Zack Trott added insurance early in the third.

Mississauga 5 Guelph 2

Cole Carter had a hat trick as the Mississauga Steelheads topped the Guelph Storm 5-2. Nicolas Hague set up two of those goals and also helped set up Owen Tippett's insurance goal midway through the second.

Trent Fox also scored for the Steelheads.

Guelph got goals from Mark Shoemaker and Zach Poirier.
