A continuous sounding fire alarm forced the evacuation of an elementary school in Port Elgin.
The evacuation lasted just under an hour.

Port Elgin-Saugeen Central School has been evacuated due to a fire alarm that kept going off. All students/staff have been safely directed to the gym at St. Joseph’s School as the local fire department investigates the scene. Updates will be provided as they become available.
