A Wingham man convicted on over a dozen sexual assault charges has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Martin Cretier, who is now 73, was found guilty on 16 charges in late November and was scheduled to be sentenced last Wednesday. At that time, six new indictments were presented in court and Cretier pleaded guilty to those. The sentencing hearing was then rescheduled for Monday.
The sex-related charges against young boys and women date back to the mid-1990s, and some as far back as the 1970s.
