GOJHL Wrap: Herrfort's Hat Trick Give Cyclones a Win

Chayse Herrfort had a hat trick as the Listowel Cyclones defeated Elmira 5-1.

Ryan Takamatsu was the lone scorer for the Sugar Kings.

Brady Anderson set the tone early for Listowel with goal less than a minute-and-a-half into the game. Herrfort scored his first of the afternoon just a over a minute later. Takamatsu's goal at 5:41 of the first made it 2-1.

Herrfort extended the Cyclones lead on the power play just over three minutes into the second period. He scored again at 7:17 of the third to make it 4-1 and Tommy Hoogars fired one into an empty Sugar Kings net at 19:27 of the final frame.

Max Wright made 26 saves for Listowel. Tyler Mazzocato stopped 26 shots for the Sugar Kings.

Stratford 3 Brampton 0

Andrew Vigliatore stopped all 33 shots he faced to give the Stratford Warriors a 3-0 shut out of Brampton.

Kaleb Pearson scored twice for the Warriors including once on the power play.

Corson Searles power play goal at 8:58 of the first would stand as the game winner.

Waterloo 5 Kitchener 3

Drayton Duckett scored two back to back goals in the second to tie the game and Zach Leonard had the game winner late in the third as Waterloo topped Kitchener 5-3.

Sam Cherry added insurance for the Siskins as time expired.

Kole Scott scored two for Kitchener and Blair Derynck also found the back of the net.
