Southgate Man Charged For Threatening Brother With Knife

A Southgate man is facing charges because of a dispute with his brother.

OPP officers were called to a residence on Southgate Rd. 10 Wednesday evening in response to a threats complaint.

An investigation determined that the victim was watching television earlier this week when his brother allegedly entered the room holding a knife and threatened to stab him.

The victim called police Wednesday evening when his brother again allegedly uttered threats to him while holding a knife. The 69-year old victim was not injured.

Police arrested a 66-year old Southgate man who appears today for a bail hearing. He's charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of utter death threats.
