PJHL Wrap: Brock Gives Ironmen the Shut Out

Walkerton scored five goals in the first period and went on to beat Mitchell 8-2.

Walkerton got goals from eight different players including Gary Mantz and Spencer Elder who also had two assists each in the win. Josh Deyell, Kolton McGuire and Ryan Shaw all scored and had an assist for Walkerton. Other scorers: Justin McCrae, Maverick Petrie and Reid Simmons.

Mitchell was lead by Reid Ramseyer with a goal and an assists. Jarrett Bogdon had Mitchell's only other goal.

Mitchell's Tyler Parr allowed four goals on 13 shots before being replaced just past the midway point of the first by Curits Laviolette who stopped 48 of 52 shots he faced in relief.

Mathew Donnelly made 18 saves for Walkerton.

Wingham 1 Hanover 0

Jamie Brock stopped all 22 shots he faced to give the Wingham Ironmen a 1-0 shut out of Hanover.

Scott McFarlan scored the only goal of the game, assisted by Rhys Vollmer at 7:13 of the second period.

Luke Aulthouse took the loss for the Barons, making 27 saves on 28 shots.
