Snow squall warnings are still in place for Bruce County and Huron County as well as northern areas of Grey County.

Bands of snow are cutting across Hwy. 21 just north of Goderich and in the Kincardine - Saugeen Shores area.

Hwy. 21 is closed between Amberley and Goderich. The section of Hwy. 21 between Kincardine and Port Elgin has been re-opened as of 5:20am.

Road conditions across Midwestern Ontario are described as snow covered to centre bare.

Expect drifting and blowing snow in areas affected by squalls.

The weather forecast is calling for flurries and squalls to continue through the day with winds gusting up to 50 km/h from the west through the morning.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
