Residents on the Bruce Peninsula will have access to faster internet thanks to a new Xplornet Communications tower.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller says it will provide 3.5 GHz of new frequency to the site, expanding LTE fixed wireless technology services to communities in the region.
He says people will enjoy faster internet speeds, more data, and improved reliability thanks to the new tower on Hwy. 6 near Johnson's Harbour Rd.
Miller says it is important to serve more remote communities as residents become more reliant on the internet for day-to-day services from banking to grocery shopping.
"That is why investments in internet services for remote communities are so important. Residents in the area will now have the access to the internet services they need,” says Miller.
