Midwestern Ontario To Be 'Clipped' On Monday Into Tuesday

It's a busy day for snowplows and other snow removal equipment. Many parts of our area got a steady snowfall Sunday and Sunday night. Some areas are reporting up to 15 cm.

Major routes early today are snow packed, slushy, and slippery with some drifted sections. Secondary roads are snow covered and snow packed.  Visibility is generally good.

And there is a lot more snow on the way.  A special weather statement from Environment Canada warns of an Alberta clipper that will cross Southern and Midwestern Ontario Monday night and Tuesday morning.

This weather disturbance will bring a general snowfall of 5 cm to 10 cm by Tuesday morning, and possibly even higher amounts in some areas.

Poor winter driving conditions are likely.
