The Perth-Huron United Way is offering grants of up to $20,000 to charities or not-for-profits in the two counties.
Executive Director Ryan Erb explains the funding, through their New Initiatives program offers up to $20,000 for one year for projects developed by registered Canadian charities or not-for-profits who are planning to, or already deliver, social and community services in Perth and/or Huron County.
Erb says in the past, organizations have applied for funding for things like the No Wrong Door initiative across the Early Years program in Huron County that allowed people using multiple services to only apply once.
Another successful applicant was the I Volunteer online virtual volunteer centre.
Erb says successful applicants must use the funding in one year and the deadline for "expressions of interest" is Friday, November 17 at 5pm.
