Work continues at the old Cullen Motors property in Wingham in preparation for a new business.
Huron County planner Laura Young confirms that a site plan application has been proposed for a new gas station and convenience store; an application that was approved by North Huron Council on August 8.
Once demolition is complete, it's expected loads of fill will be brought in so the property is brought up to flood-control standards by the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority.
Young says while she doesn't have an exact date the station is expected to open, she did note that the company hoped to move quickly through the building permit process.
