Dr. Hazel Lynn is returning to the Grey Bruce Health Unit as Acting Medical Officer of Health.
The Board of Health approved the appointment on Friday.
Lynn is expected to fill in for about six months, as the current Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Christine Kennedy, is on leave.
Current Acting Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra will return to his previous role supporting the organization.
He was appointed September 12.
Dr. Lynn was first appointed the acting medical officer in November 2000, and after receiving full certification became Medical Officer o Health in 2003. She retired in June 2016.
