Huron County's Water Protection Steering Committee will celebrate the 100th International Plowing Match by holding it's regular meeting on the site in Walton.
Committee Chair and Huron County Warden Jim Ginn says it will be a very public forum with a lot of people milling around but it'll be an interesting experience.
“We hold these meetings quarterly and we'll try to carry on as best we can but of course it's going to be a very public forum, you know, there'll be a lot of people milling around and a lot of distractions, but we'll get through it," he says.
Ginn says the agenda includes several environmental issues close to his heart like soil protection, forestry and good management practices and adds they've got a great lineup of speakers.
The meeting runs from 9:30 until noon on Friday, in the Huron County Showcase tent.
“A real good lineup and we're going to talk about something close to my heart; environmental issues and soil protection and forestry and good management practices and the like," says Ginn. "You know sometimes we need to brag a little of what we do in Huron County so we're going to give other people the opportunity to see what we do.”
